I’ve spent 15 years leading healthcare advertising and PR agencies, where the vast majority of our time was spent marketing products. Sales aids, product websites, banner ads, more sales aids. I started to question: is our work really having an impact - for patients, professionals, for the bottom line?
The reality is, product marketing is designed to convert demand, not create it. It doesn’t help brands grow.
